It’s not too late! The giant LEGO designs at the Leu Gardens Nature Connects® Art with LEGO® Bricks aren’t packing up until April 22. The amazingly talented artist, Sean Kenney, and his Nature Connects LEGO exhibit are still available to enjoy, along with the beauty of the gardens. Children and adults alike will love the giant sculptures. A quote from his website, “Sean doesn’t work for The LEGO Company…he’s just their best customer!”
The gorgeous peacock LEGO sculpture uses 68,827 LEGO bricks and took 625 hours to build. You’ll find these statistics next to each masterpiece in the Gardens. Here are a few images of these amazing sculptures.
You’ll find a gardener and his helper in the vegetable garden. Little ones are invited to pinch off a piece of dill to experience its fragrance.
Birds and bugs galore adorn the butterfly garden where you’ll find a chrysalis box describing the life cycle of the butterfly and you might even witness one emerging from its coccoon of silk.
And don’t forget the flowers, which, depending on the season, offer a plethora of color and aroma…
We walked right past the most difficult exhibit to find…the Bonsai Tree. It’s located in the lobby of the Leu House Museum.
Catch the display while you still can this month of April. Check the website for hours, entry fees and special classes offered year round.
